Creating e-Commerce Websites
This course looks at what is involved in having an online e-commerce website from populating , setting up the store and marketing. If you have an existing website and would like to offer the facility of trading online; if you have a unique new idea and want to sell it online; or if you have a product or a service that you want to sell online then this course is for you. The course will be fully hands on using a pre-installed e-commerce software on the server, each student can then populate the store with products and experience what it means to have an online store by exploring the challenges and opportunities that exist.

Delivery
Delivery of the course will occur over one day (6 hours) as face to face mode. Participants will have access to a hosted ecommerce accounts throughout the session to evaluate how an ecommerce website with a shopping cart would functions.
Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, it is expected participants will have the ability to:
- Identify the different types of websites available
- develop an online process of selecting and creating a website for online trading
- Login to an online store and explore product management, customer management and store management
- Identify the different on-line and off-line marking strategies that are available

Other Information
Secure Parking is available through the RPAH Medical Centre located on the corner of Missenden Road and Carillon Avenue (entry to the car park is via Elizabeth Street, off Carillion Avenue). Parking is available on weekdays only between the hours of 7:00AM – 7:00PM at a rate of $38/day or $9/day after validating your ticket at CCE’s reception. All CCE participants who validate their tickets at reception are required to park their vehicles on Level B3. If the validated ticket does not register in the car park’s ticketing machine, cancel the transaction then reinsert your ticket into the ticketing machine until the $9 fee appears.
