Learn Hindi at Sydney University with Hindi courses and classes for absolute beginners and beyond. Our courses teach Hindi-Urdu, which is also commonly known as Hindustani, an official language of India and spoken by over 40% of the population. It is a beautiful language which draws on the extremely rich and poetic vocabulary of such languages as Sanskrit, Persian and Arabic, not to mention such European languages as English and Portuguese. The program will focus on the modern standardised lingua franca of the Hindi-Urdu regions of North and Central India as well as the Devanagari writing system.

This course is a continuation of the material covered in the beginners course and is suitable for those who have completed Hindi 101 or who have completed 20 hours of recent face to face tuition.
